Women's Volleyball finishes out season with 0-3 loss to American River

Diablo Valley put up a competitive fight in all three sets but ultimately fell to a powerful American River team, dropping the match 25–14, 25–15, 25–17 on Friday evening.
American River's offense was dominant from the opening serve, hitting an impressive .435 in the first set and maintaining that efficiency throughout the night. The Beavers finished with a .426 team attacking percentage, with multiple hitters contributing across the board. Gillian Rossi (6 kills, .556), Cyana Mulitalo (7 kills, .417), and Aria Woltz (6 kills, .417) led a balanced attack, while setter Addy Tagala orchestrated the offensive rhythm with 15 assists and added four digs.
Diablo Valley responded with strong individual efforts but struggled to find consistency at the net, finishing the match with a .035 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Ryann Jones paced the Vikings with 10 kills and an ace, while Jisela Banuelos added eight kills, 11 digs, and a team-high 9.5 points in an all-around performance. Libero Johnae Smith contributed five aces, providing a spark from the service line.
Defensively, Diablo Valley showed grit, highlighted by 11 digs from Banuelos and nine from Kaelin Montfort, but American River's efficiency and depth proved too much to overcome.
The Vikings' best stretch came in the third set, where they tallied eight kills and kept the score tight early before the Beavers pulled away with a late run to close out the sweep.
