Diablo Valley opened the doubleheader with a 6–1 setback despite collecting six hits.
Vanessa Castanada led the offense, going 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored. Savannah Miles added two hits, and Ari Herrera contributed a hit off the bench. The Vikings broke through in the first inning when Jordan Greer drove in Castanada for DVC's lone run.
Miles (1-1) took the loss in the circle, throwing five innings and striking out three. Lassen used a multi-run second inning to seize momentum and added insurance runs late.
Game 2 – Lassen 2, Diablo Valley 0
The Vikings were shut out 2–0 in the second game but turned in a solid defensive effort.
Jordan Greer paced the offense with two hits, while Savannah Miles, Brooklyn Porter, and Ari Herrera each added one. Diablo Valley totaled five hits and worked two walks but was unable to push a run across.
Herrera (0-1) went the distance in the circle, allowing just two runs over seven innings while keeping the Vikings within striking distance throughout.
Diablo Valley continues conference play looking to bounce back in its next outing.
