It’s #1 DVC vs. #14 Santa Barbara for a spot in the CCCAA State Championship Game! Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep.13 -- DVC vs. Delta

The #1 seed 2016 Vikings are flying high as they reach the third round of the playoffs for the first time in program history. They welcome Big 8 rivals San Joaquin Delta, another team in this round for the first time (though certainly not the last!), to Pleasant Hill with a Final Four berth on the line! We're joined at halftime by defensive lynchpin Zoë Ramer and the 2016 National Player of the Year, goalkeeper Katie McLaughlin.

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep.12 -- DVC vs. Las Positas

The #1 seed 2016 Vikings hit the second round of the playoffs coming off a resounding victory in Round 1 against Solano. Their new opponent, #8 Last Positas, gave them all they could handle in a Week 2 road match in Livermore, when they rose from the dead with two second-half goals to erase a 2-0 Viking lead. Ever since, that school's name has been code for "Keep Working!" How hard will the Hawks make DVC work today in pursuit of their State Elite Eight berth ever? We're joined at halftime by hyperkinetic forward Ale Gonzalez and the Vikings' all-time career goalscoring record holder, Noelle Palmer (née Lemos)!

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep.11 -- DVC vs. Solano

The #1 seed 2016 Vikings put an incredibly attacking formation onto the pitch for their first home playoff in 5 years against local rivals Solano College. Could their enthusiasm be dampened by a slate grey sky and the first game-time precipitation in at least three years? Not likely! We're joined at halftime by a pair of D-1 Viking alums, Erica MacDonald and Vanessa Ruvalcaba, that combined for 27 goals and 26 assists in their time in Green & White!

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep.10 -- "How The Big 8 Was Won"

A special episode recapping the final three weeks of the 2016 regular season and the wild story of how DVC won their first Big 8 championship. Features interviews with American River College captain Riley Affonso, almost a dozen Vikings alums (Cameron Chan, Chloe Lindemann, Hannah Louis, Erica MacDonald, Katie McLaughlin, Megan Melara, Noelle Palmer, Zoë Ramer, Karla Ramos & Vanessa Ruvalcaba) and DVC staff (head coach Cailin Mullins & equipment manager Annie Mohr).

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep.9 -- DVC vs. American River

With two tough matches against conference title contenders staring them down in the final week, the 2015 Vikings have to win today against American River to give themselves any chance at a Top 8 finish and their first home playoff in four years. The Beavers, on the other hand, are on the bubble and fighting for their playoff lives; they'll be throwing all of their aggression and physicality into the service of simply extending their season past next week! Sounds like a battle! Joe's joined at halftime by the two speediest players on the 2015 team (as voted by their teammates), Andrea Weinstein and Julia Curran.

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep.8 -- DVC vs. Cosumnes River (10/27/15)

Looking to make their case for a Top 8 finish in NorCal and a first home playoff match in four years, the 2015 Vikings welcome one of their direct competitors -- the volatile and physical Cosumnes River Hawks -- to Pleasant Hill for a late-season tilt. They have every reason to expect a tight, competitive game for big stakes; what they get instead defies everyone's expectations! Joe's joined at halftime by two alums from the 2015 club (Academic All-State player, Hannah Louis, one of today's goalscorers Hannah Kidson) as well as DVC's head coach Cailin Mullins!

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep. 7 -- DVC vs. CRC

The 2016 Vikings look to right the ship after suffering their first defeat and getting knocked off the top of the conference table for the first time all season. They do so against a CRC Hawks side that was responsible for all eight red cards shown in Big 8 play to that point in the season (three to them, five to their frustrated opponents). We catch up at halftime with a pair of wings that are *still tired* from their role in DVC's "red" formation, Cameron Chan and Karla Ramos.

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep. 6 -- DVC vs. Delta

The 2015 Vikings are in a fight to stay in NorCal's Top 8 and guarantee themselves a home playoff match. Because of the Power Points formula used to come up with those seedings, few things are more valuable than a big result against a good club, and few have been better than San Joaquin Delta this season (they'd end up the 3rd seed). We catch up at halftime with 2015 Offensive MVP Hannah Mazolewski and former DVC assistant coach Matt Kendall.

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep.5 -- DVC vs. Santa Rosa

The 2014 Vikings look for the bounces to finally go their way after a spate of close losses has put them on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. In their way: the perennial champions of the Big 8, Santa Rosa JC, along with a 30-mph wind on a blustery October afternoon. We catch up at halftime with 2014 Offensive MVP Hannah Harris and defensive lynchpin Avery Van Horn.

Vikings Soccer Rewind Ep. 4 vs. San Joaquin Delta

Our first look at the 2016 Vikings finds them undefeated through their first 10 matches, riding atop the Big 8 conference, and on the road in Stockton for a big battle with fellow title challenger San Joaquin Delta College. At halftime, we visit with 2/3 of the all-freshman starting midfield from that club, Megan Melara and Chloe Lindemann.
