Men's Track & Field finish in 14th overall at 3C2A State Championship Meet
At the 3C2A Track & Field State Championships held at College of San Mateo on May 16–17, Diablo Valley College put forth a strong showing across multiple events. In the men's 110-meter hurdles, Solomon Gater earned a podium finish, placing third with a time of 14.79 seconds to score 6 points for the team. Alan Solari added to the tally in the 1500-meter run, finishing eighth in 4:05.39 and earning 1 point. The men's 4x100m relay team of Davis, Berg, Odhiambo, and Gordon delivered a competitive fifth-place finish with a time of 41.62, scoring 4 points. Meanwhile, the 4x400m relay squad (Christy, Kalmon, Mlynek, Hubbard) placed eighth at 3:20.13, contributing another point.
In individual middle-distance competition, Harrison Hubbard represented Diablo Valley in the 800m, placing ninth with a time of 1:59.18. Dominic Mills excelled in the high jump, clearing 1.95 meters to secure fourth place and 5 team points. In the discus, Azriel Shakur finished 11th with a best throw of 41.32m, though it did not result in scoring.
Altogether, Diablo Valley athletes demonstrated depth and resilience at the state championships, scoring points in sprints, hurdles, distance, jumps, and relays.
