Diablo Valley came up just short in a hard-fought overtime battle, falling 87–85 at home.
The Vikings held a 45–42 lead at halftime behind strong perimeter shooting from Adrian Calderon and Kaleb McKenzie, who combined for eight three-pointers in the contest. DVC maintained composure throughout regulation and forced overtime after a tightly contested second half. Mozell Wilson led the Vikings with 18 points and seven rebounds, attacking the rim and getting to the free-throw line 11 times. Calderon added 15 points on four three-pointers, while McKenzie matched him with 15 points of his own, knocking down four from beyond the arc.
Inside, Jacob Harvey delivered a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, helping Diablo Valley win the battle on the glass, 44–38.

The Vikings trailed 37–33 at halftime but responded with a strong defensive effort in the second half, holding Modesto to 28 points after the break. The game remained within one possession down the stretch.
While individual statistics were not available, DVC kept the game close by limiting turnovers and competing on the defensive end in a low-scoring battle. Ultimately, Modesto capitalized at the free-throw line, converting 21-of-29 attempts, which proved to be the difference in a two-point contest.
